AI Submission Assistant

For program managers and underwriting leads at specialty MGAs

The unanswered submissions in the contractors inbox.

A specialty MGA reads each broker submission against its guide and its rater.

Sample story. People and companies are made up.

The unanswered inbox

Elena runs a contractors GL program. Her underwriters leave broker submissions without a reply every quarter. It is never a decision to decline. Broker PDFs pile up. Loss runs and subcontractor schedules must be keyed into a spreadsheet rater by hand.

One MGA left about 200 submissions a quarter unanswered. That was about $1.7M in premium. Unanswered submissions, not an estimate of business won.

The numbers come from one MGA. The people in this story are made up.

Why a checklist was not enough

A wholesale broker had warned Elena. Clean risks that sit without even a missing-items note move to another MGA. Splitting the inbox by state did not help. Neither did asking underwriters to skim faster.

The hold-up was the reading before underwriting began. Someone checks roof height and exclusions in the guide. Someone runs OFAC, flood and quake checks. Someone chases missing subcontractor documents and keys exposure rows into the rater.

Elena needed each submission read when it landed. She needed it checked against her guide pages. She needed it rated on her spreadsheet logic.

Setting up her program

Elena signs up, selects MGA and enters her monthly volume. Her desk opens on the defaults. It has its own AI mailbox in oyyo. It reads applications and can run OFAC, flood and quake checks.

She uploads her contractors GL guide as a PDF. She emails one past packet to her AI mailbox. Each rule in the guide becomes a check that cites its page. Nothing is sent outside her desk.

Our team rebuilds her contractors GL rater and quoter as AI-ready apps. We configure her quote template, default subjectivities, and state endorsement library. Draft quotes carry her program’s premium and forms.

Elena gives her appointed brokers the program’s AI mailbox. She invites her underwriters to the shared submission view. She chooses a package and opens the desk.

The first broker packet

A wholesale broker emails an interior build-out contractor submission. It includes two applications and a subcontractor schedule.

By the time Elena opens the submission, the file is built. Values are filled and linked to their pages. OFAC, flood and quake checks are done. The eligibility result cites a page of her guide.

Two subcontractor subjectivities are missing. One broker ask is drafted under her program’s rules. Rater inputs and the draft quote sit beside it, waiting for her Send.

A desk worked each morning

Underwriters open their queue with new submissions already read and sorted. Each risk is checked against the program guide with rule and page cited. Draft broker asks and quotes wait for Send.

Elena’s underwriters spend their time on decisions. They no longer retype PDFs into a spreadsheet.

The steps

  1. A working desk Elena picks MGA and her monthly volume. Her desk gets an AI mailbox, cited reading and OFAC, flood and quake checks.
  2. The guide goes in She uploads the program guide PDF and tests a sample submission. Each rule becomes a cited check. Nothing goes out without Send.
  3. Her rater and quote letterWith our team Our team rebuilds her rater and quoter as AI-ready apps. We keep her endorsement library and subjectivities current.
  4. A program mailbox for brokers She gives appointed brokers the program’s AI mailbox and invites her underwriters.
  5. Live program intake Elena chooses her package and opens contractors GL intake for her underwriting team.
